What a weekend.
Friday, after weeks of excitement on twitter, we did the short stream about this initiative and opened a little discord server.
Now, on Monday, we are 1300+ people and it’s still growing. This is insane. 🔥
It shows how many people are excited about Europe and want to help improving it for startups.
And we think it’s possible.
Europe does not lack the talent, the research, or the ambition. What we lack is simplicity, confidence, and acceleration.
Let’s get everyone up to speed:

1) Remove Friction for Founders.
We believe that one of the main reasons for a lack of acceleration in Europe is friction caused by fragmentation, we want to change that. Not by negativity and EU-bashing, but by finding ways to create levers that improve Europe for startups effectively. Our first focus: Establish standards in eu-wide company formation and investments
2) Make Europe known as place for ambitious startups and world-leading innovation
We will create a positive sentiment about Europe as place of a tech, innovation and ambition. Make it fun and awesome to build here and have like-minded people around you! Let’s together build a better future for us and those after.

We got the talent, innovation, and excellence right here in Europe. We need to bring it to the forefront and create a sense of pan-european pride.
Keep in mind that it’s the incentives of the individual country leaders are local. France wants to promote French startups, Germany wants to Germany, etc. Local politicians want to win their local elections. It won’t be their incentive to create a centralized sense of “European Startups” until it’s too late.
This is where we come in. We have three jobs with Culture:
